A clear roof is a great alternative to a star cloth. Why not have real stars? They help to provide a very open feel to the structure whilst keeping the elements out.
The clear roofs come in 3M sections, so it is possible to have just certain areas clear (i.e. over the dance floor) or perhaps even the whole roof.
